Gorgeous iPhone Application Icon

Lumen Spark is a fast growing, privately held software development company based in Seattle, Washington. We are currently working on an iPhone application that allows users to take notes.

We are targeting basic iPhone users - someone who would like to use the iPhone to quickly view or edit notes. The key aspect of this application is simplicity.

At Lumen Spark, we are working on a new iPhone application that will allow users to take notes. This project is for the application icon.

We would like the icon to represent either: note taking, notepad or any other visual along these lines. One of the quintessential features of this application is the ability to sync your notes with the desktop. So, the icon may also indicate data portability / sync.

This icon needs to be absolutely gorgeous, unique, simple, elegant and it must also sit well with other standard icons of the apps that ship with iOS e.g. Mail, Calendar, Messages and so forth. In terms of what we consider gorgeous, you might want to take a look at Awesome Note, 2Do or Twitter iPhone applications.

Here are the technical specifications:

Minimum 1024x1024px square icon, transparent, layered .psd file. It needs to look good when reduced to the following sizes: 114x114px, 72x72 px, 57x57px.

Note that the rounded corners are added automatically by the operating system, so the final icon needs to be square. Otherwise the rounded corners will not be matched perfectly which introduces visible artifacts.
