ever order a coffee through the drive thru only to find that the service was incredibly slow?
ever get stuck waiting in line to enter a store and wish you knew the wait ahead of time?
ever have construction generate long delays or slow you down to half the speed limit?
Crowded is a new start-up looking to launch its portal and brand with the winning design across the corporate website and various mobile apps that will be created. Crowded combines the rising power of check-in services and the power of the crowd to provide the user localized information on traffic and other wait times around the city that add delays to your day. We want to own the phrase "It's crowded in here".
The brand and corporate website is not online yet as it will be built around the logo. Crowded will be run like a silicon valley start-up fed by venture capital investment.
Mobile browsing and check-ins are at an all time high; Crowded is tapping into that space by targeting everyone and anyone with a mobile device who has stood or is standing in line waiting right now. Users can help reduce wait times by redirecting traffic and earning badges along the way (which could lead to discounts at their favorite vendors). Vendors can use the data to determine service wait times and improve overall service during peak hours.
As the brand focuses on the crowd, the logo needs to feature the crowd prominently in the primary logo; integrated with the word Crowded would be optimal. It needs to be bright and colorful in nature. "Crowded" it designed to serve as both the brand and the logo. In a similar vain to Facebook, Foursquare and Twitter our demographics will vary and it brand needs to appeal to all.
The logo and brand need to be attractive to investors and to users alike.
Your submission focuses on the brand logo that will appear on letter head, web site, mobile apps and serve as the core branding; a bonus would be a 57x57 icon incorperating the core elements of the logo you design. Something that when viewed is recognized as being the Crowded brand.
