"The Bridge" : Youth Leadership Movement
The Bridge is a program that will give at-risk underserved youth knowledge and exposure to the keys to success in life. I'm a teacher and a business man who is constantly looking for solutions to helping people succeed in the game of life.
The Bridge will be what I call an "Action Mentoring" program meaning that everything we do will be done with excellence, urgency, and for a specific intended outcome. This program will stand out from other mentoring programs.
Mission Statement
“The Bridge” Youth Leadership Movement (BYLM) is a mentoring program designed to eliminate the gaps in achievement that plague high needs youth in inner city and rural communities across America. The program is designed to enrich the whole child by providing “Intelligent Inspirations” in the areas of academic, cultural, financial, health, social, and emotional intelligence. An increase in intelligence, the ability to acquire and apply knowledge and skills, in these areas for our children will assist them in crossing the bridge that leads to success.
Our target audience will be the urban youth that we will serve. We want to portray a fun, positive, and inspirational image to the youth.
We are also targeting potential donors who will contribute funds to our seperate non profit in order to run this program. We want them to know that we are serious about serving this population of youth and that we want to empower thousands of youth for years to come.
We want our image to stand out to schools, churches, and community organizations who will purchase our mentoring program model which we plan to copyright and package to sell at some point in the future.
I've always envisioned an image of a bridge type structure that was created with the bodies of children. However I want it to be something original and creative so I'm open to your creative depictions of a positive, exciting, energetic, intelligent, and agressive youth mentoring program!
The logo needs to work as a standalone image, a stand alone company name (The Bridge), as well as a logo with the strapline "Youth Leadership Movement", so please ensure you show a few versions with your design. The image could also be a creative font logo. Make sure to submitted font type used in design.
We have no fixed ideas on colour for the logo. The logo will need to work best when sitting on a white background. However, it may also be a requirement in the future to convert it to black & white / greyscale for use in other marketing materials including Tshirts
Thought will also be needed to consider how the logo will work on stationery, including letterheads (both pre-printed and electronically generated), business cards and envelopes.
