Bella Spinner Designs
30 years ago, my mom made Christmas spider ornaments and webs and sold them at a craft fair. I have one on my Christmas tree and always get comments on it. This year we decided to make a new batch, and I have so many ornaments (and had such fun doing it) that I intend to sell them. I've attached a photo so you can see what they look like.
Bella Spinner Designs is a made up name, playing off "pretty spider", but generic enough that I could use it if I decided to expand my inventory.
I'm really excited about this project, and will be giving (at least) daily feedback!
Affluent women who enjoy buying pretty things and are attracted to the combination of beauty and whimsy in my ornaments.
I expect to sell primarily online (via etsy), and also potentially through local craft shops and craft fairs.
My customers are likely to buy these items as gifts, so the look should be high-end.
Classy, clean, with perhaps a touch of whimsy.
I do not want the design to explicitly reference spiders or webs. It could possibly be incorporated in a very subtle way.
I do not want the design to be 'Christmas-y' as the name was chosen to be useful year-round.
I'm open to a design that uses the initials BSD, but am more interested in keeping the words spelled out. It's very important that the typeface be legible.
The logo should work either in black & white or in color. I'm open to color combinations (and like color), but am currently using forest green boxes, which I intend to label with the logo via a sticker (foil?) on top, so it would be great to coordinate. I'll use tissue paper inside that color coordinates based on what you come up with.
Because I want to use the logo on a sticker, it should render well at a ~1.5"x2.5" size (proportions to be determined by the logo, of course).
Please do not use any stock images or clip art in the logo.
I'll need files in the following formats:
Print file format - .ai (CMYK)
Web file format - .jpg and layered .psd file (RGB)
