We’re a commercial office design and fitout company who has been trading for over 20 years and who is professional and thorough, though fun. In-house we have great project managers backed by a creative and knowledgeable interior design team.

Our team is fun, outgoing and always about problem solving. Please check out our website http://www.upm.com.au for examples of our work and we’d love to see how you would present our company in logo format. Attached are the many versions of our current logo that we
use across most forms and documents and we would like to have both a logo that presents well in both colour and grey scale.
If there is a way to tie in UPM, then I think that would be ideal but not critical. When I meet a person I introduce myself as John from United Project Management, but once people know us, some refer to us as United others as UPM and our website is also http://www.upm.com.au
As you can see from the attachments we have modified how we present our name and tag lines over the years and it is now very inconsistent. For example our business cards and email signatures are very different and I would like to have something that we can then use that is consistent across everything we have such as, website, plans, business card, email signature, newsletter, clothing and pop’s off the page at a person and is memorable for the right reasons. We sell ourselves as project managers who are good at design, so it is our knowledge of the process of building a commercial office that gets us in the door but it is the creative design that keeps us there and wins us the actual building works of the project ( where we make our money ) so it is very important that the logo does have an element of creativity to it so people do view us as both knowledgeable and creative. If they only view us as knowledgeable then we will win the project management works and have an uphill battle to convince the person we are creative enough to do the design or they hire an interior designer that we then have to work with, which just makes the overall process harder and also devalues our in house interior design team. If we appear to creative then clients will use someone else for the project management and get us to tender on the design against other interior designers, in which case we are one step away from the client and we have to work with other project managers who are generally not as experiences as we are which can then be frustrating. For these reasons it is very important that we have a logo that conveys a company that is very experienced, professional and knowledgeable and also creative.
