Update: 3/24, I will soon be making a final decision. So many great designs to choose from, thank you all very much! *SUGGESTION- I have decided that I'd like each sector of the business to be differentiated by the following; the business merchandising sector by ''Solutions'', such as NDA Solutions or ND Solutions. And the apparel brand using, ''Apparel'', such as No destination Apparel.
Good luck to all!
Update: 3/21, there has been a lot of good designs submitted so far, thanks for all the effort. *SUGGESTION- I would like to have a symbol to use with the clothing brand similar to RVCA's opposite Vs, Nike's swoosh, Under Armour's connected U, Adidas bars, etc. A very abstract symbol that can be drawn out of the abbreviations NDA or ND would work or something completely seperate works as well. For more details, refer below. Thanks!
Update: 3/20, contest is guaranteed!
Due to the two different sectors of business, the logo needs to serve a variety of functions OR can segue nicely into another logo rendition;
1) The logo must be able to stand alone as a design printed on apparel and other memorabilia (primarily t-shirts and other clothing) specific to the ‘No Destination Apparel’ collection line
a. Refer to exhibit (A), (C), (D), and (E).
2) The logo must represent the sector of business that works exclusively with other businesses to produce merchandise specific to their own brand
a. This is a sector of business that does NOT work exclusively with apparel as the name ‘No Destination Apparel’ may imply but also with other forms of memorabilia
i. Consider abbreviating ‘No Destination Apparel’, i.e. NDA , or using only ‘No Destination’ and/or with the abbreviation ‘ND’
1. Refer to exhibit (C), (D) and (E).
3) The logo must be clearly used as a screen-printed inseam neck tag of a shirt for both sectors of business
***NOTE: If you are unable to develop a logo that appropriately represents both sectors of business, please develop a logo that best represents the ‘No Destination Apparel’ collection line. Further design work may be offered to the contest winner to create a logo for #2 above.
Simple, little to no color, primarily typographic logo with a basic illustration/shape/pattern- if appropriate, and either separate or integrated within the text
a. No Destination Apparel
c. ND Apparel
e. Or any combination of options a, b, c or d.
2) Illustration/shape/pattern (suggested but not mandatory)
a. North pointer from a compass (refer to exhibit (A) and (B))
i. Avoid the native arrow look (both the feathered tail and arrow tip), do NOT want it looking native in any way
ii. Simple is likely better
(A). NO DESTINATION APPAREL: a rough design I created myself using a rendition of a north pointer
(B). North Pointer: a good example of a north pointer that could serve as a basic illustration, with or without the ‘N’
(C). RVCA LOGO: offers a good visual of the basis typography and illustration that I’d like my logo to resemble
(D). YC YOUNG CROWNS: a good example of a combination of abbreviated and full text, I like that the abbreviated letters form their own graphic
(E). HOUDINI: another good example of a combination of abbreviated and full text, again I like that the graphic is a simple play off of an abbreviation
(F). HG CUSTOM APPAREL: another good example of a combination of abbreviated and full text
