WNY MMA & Fitness
We are a growing Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) & Fitness Academy looking for a special designer to help give us a great image. We are moving into a new facility and are looking to do BIG things in 2011! Help us get started with a new logo.
We teach: MMA (aka "cage fighting" or "ultimate fighting"), Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, Kickboxing, Wrestling, Cardio, Conditioning & Kids MMA. You can, if u want, incorporate the classes into the design.
We attract all types from out of shape people that are looking to change that to well conditioned athletes. We need something that looks great on a Jiu Jitsu Uniform, Our fighters shorts, T-Shirts, etc.
check us out at: http://www.WNYMMA.com if u want some more information about who we are and what we do plus pics of our current gym
*Just to make sure we're on the same page, we are NOT karate! We are a mostly adult facility teaching MMA*
Our main clientele is male adults aged 18-35, but we also cater to women and children. Possibly may make a separate logo in the near future to target women and children classes better. For now, our main focus is the male demographic.
We want to limit the requirements to give you guys room to do your thing however, there are just a few little things:
-Our Colors are Gold & Black
-We DO NOT want anything TOO tough guyish. It can be a little tough guy, but no gnarling pitt bulls or angry tigers. No flaming fists or blood dripping. No fire breathing dragons either. I think you get the idea.
-With the above said, we are not opposed to using a character of some sort. A cool looking Ape or Buffalo (since we're in Buffalo, NY) might be fun. A person or people of some sort could work too. One could be wearing a gi (BJJ uniform) and the other could be punching or kicking, whatever you think.
-We are not a traditional martial arts school, so no yin yangs or jump kicking karate kids, please.
-The name is WNY MMA & Fitness;
MMA = Mixed Martial Arts and WNY = Western New York. You could spell it all out, just write WNY MMA or do WNY Mixed Martial Arts & Fitness. Whatever you think works best. We trust ya!
I hope I provided enough info, but not too much to stifle your creative juices! *I promise to give feedback.* I also attached some files of our favorite logos that are similar to what we do to give you an idea of what we're looking for. Thanks and good luck!
