So the logo needs to reflect the sites strong emphasis on design and usability – so needs to be contemporary, modern, simple and clean.
Gay Travelers who are researching a travel destination and want to hear about the destination from other gay travelers.
The Gay community are typically high income professionals working in creative industries like advertising and media so are attracted to good design and style.
A large portion of GaySay audience do not like the use of the Gay Clichés of rainbows and references to Queens or over use of the color pink - they prefer to be understated and sometimes discreet.
The Logo needs to be distinctive as well reflect all the principles of intelligent design which Apple has made famous.
GaySay is a Web 2.0 site so will incorporate allot of the latest graphic designs as referenced in the site below :

The logo should also have a element of fun as it is a travel site. So logo should not be too serious or formal.
The 6 letters of GaySay are visually balanced, so logo needs to reinforce this.
“ Say “ as a word means: “to communicate” . Which clearly reinforces what GaySay delivers. which is a user generated review platform for gay travelers to "Say" what they think
Try avoid using speaking bubbles in logo (unless its original interpretation )
If you feel the urge to use color pink then only use it sparingly
