Middleton Outreach Ministry (MOM) - http://www.mompop.org
MOM is a local non-profit providing social service relief programs to residents of Middleton and West Madison, Wisconsin for over 30 years. All programs are provided free of charge to all neighbors in need is funded by the generosity of businesses, citizens, churches, schools, service clubs, foundations and grants.
Known affectionately as MOM throughout the community, we have several programs that make us a "one-stop-shop" for area residents in need. We have one of the most progressive food pantries in the area (including a food pantry garden, and a model that allows people to "shop" as often as they need food, effectively eliminating hunger). We also have a clothing closet and seasonal programs, and provide emergency financial assistance to cover housing, medical and other life needs. In addition, we offer ride, chore and shopping help and friendship to Seniors to help them remain independent.
We are in the midst of rebranding, as well as a website redesign. We are excited to give the organization a fresh, forward-thinking look while still honoring the solid foundation of the past 30 years of providing excellent services to the community. Because of our "MOM" name and how we've been organized in the past, we've often been thought of as "homespun". We need a new look!
We believe that our marketing is primarly older, but we would like to increase our market to the following:
• Young (16-29) – High School, college, young professionals
• Mid (30-49) – Families, successful
• Boomers (empty nesters, successful)
We also need to appeal more to area businesses and want to be known as leaders in the Madison area (or Dane County) non-profit community, as well as professional and solid. Our goal is to appear youthful and innovative while still appearing grounded and tried-and-true.
Madison is a progressive community, but divided. Our supporters are not those who are not typically involved in grass-root causes. While we would like to attract these people, in general our supporters tend to be more on the conservative end of the spectrum (in comparison with average liberal Madisonian).
We are looking for a new, fresh logo for our 30 year old non-profit.
In the past we've incorporated hands into our logo, but know that this (and hearts) are very "cliché" for the non-profit community. We want to stand out.
While our past includes a Christian affiliation, we are now a community based non-profit. Brand should not include any religious symbols or representation.
The logo should lean towards "modern and iconic" as opposed to "representational" (in other words - no actual hands, but more of a modern representation).
Please see the attached logo questionnaire / exercise.
Attached is a sample of colors we are contemplating using for our new website/branding, although we have not landed on these, so some experimentation is ok!
We would like both a print and web file. Logo needs to be able to be reversed, have a stand alone mark, and be printable in black and white (or single color). The logo can also have "MOM" in the design.
Please do not use any stock images or clip art in the logo.
