We're young, smart, and politically aware. We're out to change the partisan nature of the political blogosphere and provide a destination for fresh, thought provoking news and analysis from an Independent point of view.

Our audience is the young, smart, and politically aware American citizen. Anyone who is interested in the facts and stories they're probably not hearing from the mainstream media and enjoys a generous dose of satire and ridicule. We plan to hold both Democrats and Republicans feet to the fire and have a good time doing it!

The logo we are looking for is an ambiguously ethnic (olive skin, black hair w/ or w/o baseball cap) version of Rodan's "The Thinker." Around his middle, a rope is looped, and on either side, with dug in heels, pull the Democratic Donkey and the Republican Elephant. Atop it should read "Keepin' It Real." San serif font In an nutshell we want something visually arresting and kick-ass. Something you'd rock on a t-shrt.

Creative Considerations:
1. This makes us laugh, so should your rendering.
2. We see this as cartoonish in our minds (think bulging eyes here) but are open to other styles as long as they do #1.
3. Re: color/pattern The Donkey and Elephant should be the trad. blue and red (both have both colors) with stars.
4. We want bold, edgy, attention grabbing. Don't be afraid to take it there-- we'll pull you back if necessary.
5. Our Thinker's clothing should be youthful but not trendy. (You choose colors.) EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS LOGO MUST BE TIMELESS.
