Petite Bar is a new small bar located in Newcastle, a regional coastal city on Australia's east coast. Petite bar will have a french-indo chinese colonial feel with rustic washed, wooden interior including old wood ceiling fans colonial sea maps and rustic historical artefacts. The bar will be a petite ambient drinking place with small moorish fusion foods including some french/asian dishes. The bar will relate closely to the 1870-1970 period of french colonial rule in indo-china and it should be remembered that the venue is very close to Newcastle beaches so a partial beach theme incorporating wine may also be included into imagery.

There will be large ship maps on walls, white shutters, pot plants, ceiling fans, a cellar door, French furniture, marble bar, white panelling on the walls, floor boards etc, one long communal table, pass through to kitchen, outdoor area flows into high ceiling area
