I'm an eclectic type of person, but I also like things that look clean and professional. I love to go backpacking in the beautiful state I live in (Montana). I am a web site programmer. I have a beautiful wife and baby girl. I like to laugh and I like to make other people laugh. I would not consider myself an overly picky person.
The purpose of MontanaProgrammer.com is still being decided, but I know that it is going to deal with web site development, WordPress, PHP Programming and other related topics. Other focussed categories include working smarter, project management and blogging. My desired audience would probably lean toward the low to mid twenties (these are simple generalizations...I'm not quite sure exactly what kind of audience the website will bring at this point).
The logo needs to fit in with the current website design at http://www.montanaprogrammer.com (so you could play off the colors that are used in the website). However, there is a chance that I will change the website design to use a lighter background soon (so it needs to work with a light or dark background).
The logo needs to have the full text in the logo: MontanaProgrammer.com . But it can contain other graphics/elements that complement these words.
Since the website has the word Montana in it, you could use an outline of the state of Montana or a photo/drawing of mountains (preferable option). But I would not consider these requirements. I'm open to other options that relate to the beauty of Montana.
Another option would be to create some artistic element that plays off of the word "Programmer".
I would like the logo to be more horizontal than vertical. For example, I want these letters to be on one line: MontanaProgrammer.com .
I don't want anything too flashy. Simple is a word that comes to mind, but also professional.
When people see the logo, I want them to feel like the website is a very popular and high demand website.
I included a few photographs I've taken of Montana that you can use as an option. You do not have to use these. If you use photos, you do not have to limit yourself to these as well...these are just options
