We want to look at the "P" as a mark/icon. Perhaps a cast shadow or something that implies that the P is lit or light is being cast upon it... "Peerless" should be simple, easy to read, and should hold up well at a small size. No need to include the word "Lighting" as part of the logo. No lightbulb visuals, please. Our target audience: architects and lighting designers with a sophisticated eye. We are known for our research leadership and innovation. Our primary concern is the visual comfort of people who will experience the light.
