The RPG games we are talking about here are non-electronic games, played by a group of people around a table with pencil, paper, and dice. You can read more about the company and our game project at byswarm.com.
Our founder spent years thinking of ways to enter the gaming industry. He worked on game designs. He worked on web sites for the hobby. He worked as a volunteer for multiple publishers. None of it was quite there, that ability to meet the need to create, the passion to contribute, and the opportunity to make measurable impact. Finally, while reading another book looking for inspiration while riding the bus home from work, it came to him. Why not give other people like himself the ability to get into the industry? There are thousands of creative people with something to offer, and no game company has tapped into that resource. With the business knowledge to put it together and the technical saavy to build it, Mike has started bySwarm Inc. to be that business where every aspiring game designer has a place to create, a place to contribute, and a place to make an impact.

Our customers will be role-playing game designers, game masters, and players.
We are game designers whether we add a house rule to a system we see as flawed or create a terrible enemy for the players to confront. All of us contribute a part to the strength of our hobby. All of us have something to add.
We come together from all over with our own experiences of gaming. Each member of the Swarm has unique ideas that can make the whole of what we do better. Why keep it to yourself? Be a designer. Be part of the Swarm.
The logo should incorporate some element of swarms or swarming creatures from nature - many insects, some birds, and perhaps even fish. The current site uses a bee theme, and we are likely to choose a similarly inspired logo. Since this logo is for a role-playing game publisher though, feel free to get a bit fantastic if you want to go beyond just the natural.
We will be producing the logo on a variety of products which means that we need to have a vector graphics-based version included with any non-vector-based versions. This also means that solid, 2- or 3- or 4-color logos (or submissions that include such a version) will likely rate higher.
The files we require are:
Print file format - .ai (CMYK)
Web file format - .jpg and layered .psd or .png (RGB)
We will not accept submissions that contain stock images or illustrations.
