Spring Metrics
We are a team of experienced tech entrepreneurs in the process of creating our next great startup. We're creating and launching the new company through a business accelerator (similar to YCombinator), so our company will get media coverage - which means your design will get media coverage!
We are passionate about technology, startups, and great design! We are a web analytics company focusing on conversions, but this doesn't mean we (or the company) are dry and boring. Not a chance! What it does mean is that we need a design that is professional, stylish, clean, and conveys authority, but also is not stuffy at all.
Our target market is solo-preneurs up to medium sized businesses. We focus on helping website operators increase conversions, whether those conversions are online sales, signups for a free newsletter, or registrations. Because we're business-related, our logo has to help instil confidence and professionalism, but a beautiful design is critical...and we don't want to appear stuffy or too corporate.
We believe in simple elegance - clean, stylish, approachable, and professional all at the same time. We do not want any cartoons, clip art-looking logos, or anything childish. Colors are fine, as long as they aren't overwhelming or 'loud'.
We also want to avoid the obvious designs, like a giant spring or the change of seasons, as well as flipped/reversed letters, etc. Images are fine, but we're open to a completely typographical solution. In addition, while we are a web-based software as a service, we don't want the logo to be a cliche web 2.0 design.
Keep in mind we're a web-based service, but we'll also use the logo for business cards and related items.
The name is two words and should not be mushed together - i.e., Spring Metrics, *not* SpringMetrics.
