PSD Cut-Ups necesitaba un nuevo diseño de logotipo y lanzó un concurso de diseño en 99designs.
Un ganador ha sido elegido entre 74 diseños de 14 diseñadores freelance.
We perform PSD to HTML development, as well as conversion of PSD files to Wordpress themes, and other software packages. You can think of us as a web development outsourcing firm.
First things first, check out the site: http://www.psdcutups.com/
Our selling points can be found on the site, but I'll re-list some of the main ones here:
- FAST
- Affordable
- Reliable/Knowledgeable
- Reputable
- Focused on Customer Service
- Based in the USA
Here's our quick pitch:
Is HTML a Hassle? Save time and money with PSD Cut-Ups. We transform your designs into validating, SEO-friendly websites in 5 days or less. Now you can eliminate your HTML headaches, and spend all your focus on what you do best -- creating high quality designs!
Our target audience is YOU, the freelance designer, design shop, marketing agency, entrepreneurial individual, or developer who have more work than they can handle. Basically, anyone who might be a part of the website production chain.
Larger agencies are our ideal clients as they are most likely to have a high volume of work to send us, and generally turn into repeat customers after they see the quality of our work, and experience our customer service.
We have an existing design, and the winning logo should be ready to drop right into the existing site.
Again for your reference, the site is at: http://www.psdcutups.com/
Clearly, light logos will work best on our dark header, but may not be best for letterhead. Therefore, submissions that include a light on dark AND dark on light version will likely have a better chance.
We are also looking for a logo that has some element that can easily be used in a small icon/avatar/gravatar and email signature.
The logo needs to be polished and high quality, in order to communicate that we are serious and reputable. The audience is design-oriented, so have fun with it, but know that they can smell a bad design from a mile away.
We love logos that are suggestive without being super obvious, or that make creative use of lettering to convey the idea. Of course, with "PSD Cut-Ups" that is a challenge (and not required), but here are some examples of what we mean:

P.S. - As the subtitle states, due to the industry we are in we often run into clients with design needs. Excellent designers may be met with additional opportunities and project referrals down the road!
