Clay F&N offers personal training, small group training, targeted group exercise classes, nutrition education, nutrition counseling, and meal planning for individuals who are serious about goal oriented fitness and health. Men and women, adults and teens, serious athletes and people wishing to lose some weight, have the attention of dedicated, motivated, and passionate coaches and instructors.
The studio is located in a great historic neighborhood called Belmont (in Charlottesville, VA near University of Virginia) that is undergoing a gentrification now. The studio is designed to be an uplifting, well designed airy space that will inspire fun and inspiration.
At Clay Fitness & Nutrition (LLC) clients are inspired to integrate exercise and proper nutrition into their life. Not a traditional gym, clients actually want to come to class and training sessions and set goals around better nutrition. Classes and training sessions are cutting edge, fun, creative, and fun. Nutrition counseling is not based on one way of thinking of any diet gimmicks. Meal planning and life style changes are approached with care paid to nutritional demands, pre-existing conditions, life style limitations and schedules.

hip, urban folks who are progressive and have some disposable income and a commitment to their fitness & wellness.
Predominantly women and men between 30- and 55 living in and around Charlottesville, Va (near the University of Virginia). These people can be people who are serious athletes, people who just want to lose a couple of pounds, or people who are just tired of their uninspired experiences at traditional gyms. Classes and training will be offered from 5:30am until 8pm.
UVA students are a secondary market, but they are transient and don't last as long in terms of their existence in the community. Discounts are given to students.
Another market I seek to target are the people who live in the immediate Belmont neighborhood. I am offering a long term promotion called "Be Lean, Be Green". It gives anyone who walks or rides their bike to the studio a 5% discount on ANY service. I want the people of Belmont to feel like the new business moving into the neighborhood will bring something other than more traffic, people, and parking problems and noise. I want to honor the people in the immediate area with the discount and encourage those who can to avoid using gas powered vehicles to get to the studio.
a logo that is hip, urban and artsy. i like brown and green in the logo colors if possible. the idea of clay in the business name is that clay, like the body, is malleable and changeable. i seem to trend to liking casual fonts and letters in lower case.
i had thought about having some kind of font that had the words clay looking kind of wavy or flexible looking. i also thought about having some kind of scale or balance between the words fitness & nutrition. i don't want any bodies in the logo because i think that is cheezy. please don't use barbells.
