I am a young professional who has just set up a new environmental and engineering consultancy company specialising in the provision of Flood Risk Assessment services.
I have set up my company after my previous employer went into administration to make the most of an exciting opportunity and an established client base.
I am trying to project a company with colour, energy, and a personal service without being too radical as i wish to also promote the traditional values of quality and professionalism.
The majority of my work will be water based (particularly Flood Risk Assessment) which is reflected in my choice of company name, Potamos, meaning 'river' and also my field of study, potamology, the study of rivers.
However i will also be facilitating and sub-consulting other environmental and engineering assessments required as part of the development planning process.
I am primarily targeting housing developers, architects, planning agents, and individuals seeking professional assistance with the technical aspects of planning applications, particularly Flood Risk Assessment.
This is an existing and expanding market with a well established client base.
I am looking for a vibrant, clean and fresh design suitable for use as a company logo and incorporated on my website, headed paper, business cards etc. My industry is traditionally dominated by stereotypical older male engineers and i am looking to be different without making myself and my company unrecognisable to the industry.
I am looking for innovative designs that pick up on the company name, Potamos, meaning 'river'.
I want my logo to comprise the word Potamos with Consulting on the line below and slightly indented. Both words should be the same or a similar size so as not to emphasise one over the other. There should be a graphic to the left, right, above or below this text.
I am keen on a blue and green colour scheme but you should not feel limited to this.
In terms of font I am looking for a clean and crisp typeface e.g. NOT Times New Roman
The logo should be both reversible and flexible (e.g. logo without text and vice versa) and also easily transferable to black and white.
