The Handyman business is boring and serious (all of it!) We want to come in with a very fresh, very savvy and sophisticated look. We are looking to appeal to 45% men and 55% women. Women are afterall the one who know what is wrong with the home and send they're husbands to figure it out. So we want a logo that reflects a fresh, a smart and bold statement that says "we can fix/maintain houses and yea women this is a service for you to!"
I really like the idea of a character logo like that of Skinny Margarita. Its clean, smart, fresh and says clearly what the company serves. I would be happy to entertain a similar logo that balances female silhoutte with the masculinity of the handyman service. (If it matters our company shirts are Yellow.)
Our target audience: Upper Middle Class, Educated, Professional, Busy homeowners that live in desirable neighborhoods. We're going to market this to the homeowner and with a slight edge to the female/housewife/house manager.
Slogan: "Because everyone has a list." I'm not married to the idea that the slogan needs to be in the logo but I'll leave that to you.
