I am a tech entrepreneur in Silicon Valley with about 20 years of experience. Two years ago I left a big tech company to become an entrepreneur. Now I am starting my second company (http://www.digitalsalespro.com) in Silicon Valley focusing on "planning, forecasting and analysis". My linkedin profile http://www.linkedin.com/in/ssaikia has more info on me.
What differentiates me from other tech entrepreneurs is that my background combines TECH & BUSINESS. In fact, I give a higher priority to business needs than to technology.
Another differentiator is that I strongly believe in new technology paradigms such as cloud computing and open source. I believe that the economics of the technology world have changed to the point where clients can afford better technology at lower prices. I also believe that smart, nimble consulting companies like DigitalSalesPro are more likely to solve clients' planning & forecasting needs than bigger tech and consulting companies.
I want to position my company as being different from a traditional tech consulting company and also different from a traditional business consulting company. In fact, I want my company to represent an entity that values a combination of technology and business processes, with the weight of each (i.e., tech and business process) depending on the needs of the client.
VP/Director of Operations
VP/Director of Sales & Marketing
Our target client has revenues between $100 million and $ 1 billion (i.e., mid-market companies). The clients are in industries such as specialty retail (e.g., Williams Sonoma, Bare Escentuals), high tech (e.g., Netgear) and medical devices (e.g., Intuitive Surgical).
NOTE: the ICON is the most important part of the logo. I like asymmetry (in other words an icon's elements should have different sizes and/or shapes)
I want a logo with the following characteristics:
- hip (i.e., modern)
- clean (i.e., emphasizes clarity and streamlining)
- icon (i.e., a symbol, like that of Nike, AT&T etc.)
The color should have someting similar to that of the website (http://www.digitalsalespro.com), THOUGH I am open to other colors. In fact, I would like colors that can go with most other colors (especially on the website). In general I prefer red over blue themes.
The name DIGITALSALESPRO combines the following:
(1) information systems (i.e., "DIGITAL" technologies)
(2) revenue goals (i.e., "SALES" targets)
(3) best-practices (i.e., business "PROcesses")
I like to emphasize the following values:
- BUSINESS needs of the client are our priority
- SPEED & EFFICIENCY are qualities we value
- CLARITY & ELEGANCE are important to us
I will use the logo in the following ways:
- business card
- company presentations (e.g., powerpoint) and documents
Logos I like are
The MOST IMPORTANT QUALITY of the logo should be that it should be REMEMBERED .. i.e., clients should be able to recall it.
