Founded in 1996, The Ultimate Bass Fishing Resource Guide is the oldest and most popular bass fishing site on the Internet, with over 4 million visits from more than 2 million unique bass fishing enthusiasts each year.
Providing bass fishing enthusiasts of all skill levels with information on just about any technique, lure, or fishing condition they may encounter, the Ultimate Bass Fishing Resource Guide is the industry leader in bass fishing web sites. We not only focus on the hardcore tournament angler, but also cater to the beginner and casual enthusiasts who appreciate the love of the great outdoors.
Our family oriented web-philosophy has made our site a "second home" to more than 30,000 members. Most of our members feel like family here, and have made new friendships through our site.
- 14 years on the Internet
- Over 4 million yearly visits

- The largest and most popular bass fishing site on the Internet
- The entire staff consists of bass fishing enthusiasts.
- Hundreds of unique articles and videos
BassResource.com is simply the largest, most popular, and most comprehensive bass fishing site on the Web, living up to its name.
Most bass fishing sites target the tournament angler. We acknowledge this is an important demographic and have plenty of features/content for this group. But we also expand our audience by including beginning-to-advanced anglers who enjoy the recreational and social aspects of fishing. We also have content and features for trophy bass hunters, lure collectors and designers, pond and lake owners, fishing guides, and more.
Most of our visitors are American males, aged 25-60, who fish for a hobby, recreation, or sport. Most have an above average income.
This is an update of our current logo meant to increase excitement, the sense of community, and the quality of the user experience, while maintaining its current family oriented web-philosophy and branding. I’m looking for an updated/professional look, not a completely new design. Users must still recognize the brand.
Logo must look good on both a white and a tan background (EBDDC2). Horizontal rectangular shape is preferred. Logo will appear on site and apparel. Logo must say "The Ultimate Bass Fishing Resource Guide" AND "BassResource.com"
Must contain this base color palette:
• Blue – 336699
• Burgundy – 990000
• Green – 006633
• Tan - EBDDC2
That said, I need a palette with more colors while maintaining the current brand identity. I really like sage with cream and tan complimentary colors. For example: http://www.colorschemer.com/schemes…php?id=487
Or http://www.behr.com/Behr/home#channel (look at “Danish twist”, except the blue is too vivid)
• Light/shadow color blends with light bouncing off surfaces.
• Soft feel matte surfaces accented by mirror surfaces.
• Natural textures
• Transparent layered looks
• Modern, crisp, clean look
• An image of a bass would be nice (original art)
2 versions of the logo: 1 with URL underneath logo and one without.
Both PDF and vector file formats.
