I have been an IT consultant in Los Angeles for over 10 years and I am really excited to be going through this rebranding process. I love the work that I do and it is important to me that this logo design really shine.
The idea of the name is that "nic" represents a Network Interface Card but is also a reference to me, the founder - Nicholas Curran. Our previous brand was Nicholas Curran Computer Consulting. The "werks" is meant to give a fun yet serious vibe. Connected together I want people to know that this business is about delivering our passion for technology in a way that really works.
I am really looking for more of the same type of client that has allowed my business to become what it is. Clients like Cohn & Wolfe (PR company) and G2 (Advertising) are the ones I am trying to impress. I want my branding to look super polished and inspire confidence that nicwerks is the IT consulting company that they have to use.
I designed the current ball logo that is part of my website and stylized the font for nicwerks in a way that I am okay with but I really want the look to be stepped up. You can visit http://www.nicwerks.com to take a look at the existing logo design.
If we can keep the ball and make it look as polished as say the Symantec logo - that would be great.
One of my favorite logos is the Sprint design that has a 3d feel to it. But I also really love their use of light effects. See attached examples. Great for ball logo?
I need to be able to import this back into Adobe Flash so that I can use it as part of my site animation - so please keep this in mind.
The name must be all lowercase.
The final product must feel professional.
Currently "nic" is in italics and "werks" is left normal. The font I found that I like is ISOCPEUR but I am open to new interpretations.
I will need a version of the design that does not have a background and is saved in PNG format so that I can use it as part of my QuickBooks invoice.
I will also need any original PSD layered file that you create.
