Better Body Formula
We are a medically based nutrition and fitness company that specializes in all-natural approaches to weight loss and muscle building, so "body composition" is a central theme in our business model. Our spokesman is a Doctor named Dr. Clark Trask.
Mature adults with no inclination to be bodybuilders, primarily men, who are generally overweight or in need to add muscle mass through medically correct exercise and nutrition programs.
Look at the current entries... DON'T create similar designs. It will be a 5 star idea that wins the job, and there aren't any of those yet. So unless you have some very cool body metaphor, don't go there. Come up with a new symbol. Anything that makes sense. So you can read the directions below, but don't slip into the pattern we've seen so far. Do something TOTALLY different from that sample site logo.
Original Notes: We are leaning toward green and/or blue tones, but we are wide open on color. We'd like to see a few ideas that include a body, but nothing too masculine or too feminine, so it may need to be a body symbol rather than a real-life looking body. We'd also like to see ideas that show a scientific metaphor, but nothing too medical looking. We aren't selling any nutritional products but rather a lifestyle teaching series so we are an information technology company, not a product store. Thus the need for something with a Web 2.0 or slicker feel to it. As we develop our website around the logo, it will most likely take on a very clean/fresh look like what you'll see at apple.com, or for more similarity to our concept, see http://www.centerformedicalweightloss.com/. While their logo "sort of" fits our criteria above, DO NOT let your design resemble or contain same/similar elements as their logo. We would never have found it as strong or slick enough for our company, so it's not a good example to work from. We especially don't want a body graphic that looks like its dancing or running or those with both arms reaching up. Asking for Web 2.0 styling says a lot... but be sure to avoid cartoons, muscular bodies, sexy bodies, facial features, or a weight scale. More detail will be added as the contest proceeds, so please be sure to check back as the process unfolds. This is a guaranteed project, so give us your best work, and good luck!
