Slogans or taglines to include:
Service we provide:
This big 1st-of-it's kind celebration will raise $1million to launch a national institute to spread VOICES, the nation's first youth-led community center supporting youth (16-24 years old, not kids) as they leave foster care without families of their own, across the US.
Middle and upper-income adults and young adults in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. Persons who love music, comedy and entertainment in support of a unique cause--youth transitioning from foster care.
Logo layout preference:
Prefer unique, bold, color icon with name included in it (if clever) or icon with name next to it. Must also include b&w version that reproduces well.
Specific ideas to be implemented:
Up to designers discretion. Prefer 2-3 bold, fun colors that are gender neutral and exciting. This year the event is big-name musical artists & comedians, but logo should be able to also represent future event entertainment possibilities as well. I'm deciding more and more that it would be good to have tie-ins to our main VOICES program logo (see attached files or visit voicesyouthcenter.org). With or without the youth would be fine.
What should come to mind when someone sees our logo:
You should see the logo & feel: "I want to support this unique benefit celebration in support of a critical cause--youth". Other things to bring to mind: excitement, community, "raising up" something big and important, music, comedy, and entertainment.
Things to NOT include:
No sad youth images, but the idea of "raising youth" or "raising up our program to next level" would be good.
How will logo be used:
Banners, event tickets, stickers, letterhead, business cards, website, television
Images or sites to reference:
The program that the event will support can be found at: http://www.voicesyouthcenter.org. The event logo does not have to include the regular VOICES logo, imagery or colors, but can.
