Sonic Wind LSRV is a land speed record rocket car currently being built in southern California. The goal of Sonic Wind LSRV is to break the current World Land Speed Record of 763 mph and eventually be the first to 1000 mph! We hope with this project to inspire future scientists, engineers, and continue the passion of advancing technology.
We recently have received press inquiries about our project from various countries around the world as the World Land Speed Record is a worldwide event. We have created a website and are instituting marketing objectives but we need a logo to help us create a brand.
We would like to appeal to the general mass public but also to the highly technical minds as well. Our project concentrates on a big area of potential fans including those who just want to see something go fast and those interested in the physics behind the aerodynamics, propulsion, and forces of gravity. So somewhere from Nascar to NASA!
We are looking for a logo we can use as our brand to be used on all of our web, print, and video applications. A design that looks good in color as well as black and white. A design that can be comprehended if produced small. Something simple yet gets the point across about what we are trying to achieve. We understand designers need room to breathe and express themselves which we are completely open to.
With that said here a few areas to stay away from...
...We are a global brand therefore we are not looking to wave the United States flag as some other land speed record cars try to do and promote their nationalism. We are trying to advance the science and technology in all countries not just the US.
...We are open to cartoon/superhero imagery but we want to be seen as a real land speed record challenger and not just an impossible idea.
... Anything promoting violence or fear of death will be eliminated as the possibility of death at these speeds is a serious possibility.
A couple other helpful points....
...The current color scheme of the car on the website maybe changed once a main sponsor comes on board.
...The car has wheels but they are not like the wheels on your car, closer in comparison to steel discs.
Thanks fro taking the time to submit your designs. Good luck and we look forward to seeing your ideas. We will rate the designs often.
