We're a soon-to-be-launched small shop marketing consultancy, focusing on blog and online marketing services. And yes, we have a breed of duck in our company name. We plan to stay small and work with independent professionals and small/medium companies. Our logo, like our name, should be professional but a bit tongue in cheek, lighthearted.
No tagline as yet, so no need to allow room for it in the design.
Independent professionals and small/medium businesses looking for online marketing services.
Design must work reversed out against a dark color as well as on white.
Should include a logo, not just creative typeface.
Color: We tend to like earthtones, dark greenish/gray perhaps, with a contrasting brighter color we can use in related text headlines, site links, etc. However we're open to different ideas, just no excessively bright primary colors.
Style: We're not trying to look Web 2.0-ish. Prefer less shiny. Clean and readable, maybe subdued.
Content: Should incorporate the idea of a duck somehow in it, though it doesn't need to actually show a full duck. Can hint at one, have a stylized aspect of some part (bill, foot, whatever).
Content/random idea, feel free to completely ignore:
--Idea of sketched face of a cartoonish duck, looking dead on, with some hair sticking up. Clean and not too Disney, just something to crack a smile at while talking business.
