Social Entrepreneurship Challenge
We are the Business Association of Stanford Entrepreneurial Students (BASES). BASES is at the center of student entrepreneurship at Stanford and one of the largest and oldest student-run entrepreneurship organizations in the world. Our mission is to promote entrepreneurship education at Stanford University and to empower the next generation of entrepreneurs. For more info, check out bases.stanford.edu.
In particular, we are the Social Entrepreneurship Team in BASES, and every year we run a challenge for about 100 teams that enter to win their share of 50k to help build their idea and change the world. Teams submit a business plan of their idea to judges (judges are mostly VCs and execs already working at social ventures), who then decide who advances to the next round, and so on, until there are several finalists. In addition, our team holds workshops, networking events, and speaker-series to help engage and educate people about Social Entrepreneurship.
Our target audience is mostly the savvy entrepreneur who aims to create and execute an idea to change the world. However, the logo should also be broadly accepted by VCs and anyone looking to make the world a better place through innovation and hard-work. Focused on companies with a clear focus solving a pressing social issue. Nonprofit or for-profit companies that demonstrate scalable business ideas with quantifiable social or environmental impact. Sectors range from green-tech to medical to social internet and more.
Winners of the Social Entrepreneurship Challenge have included Kiva, One Acre Fund, Samasource, DripTech, Embrace, and many other great innovations.
Looking for a modern but elegant logo. Something that will really catch the eye and will be associated with innovation and the cutting-edge. Not looking for a cartoon or cheap look, but something that could be fun, corporate, or cutting-edge.
Must include either "Social Entrepreneurship Challenge" or "Social-E Challenge"
Please see the attached files for our current logo (that we are hoping to replace with a cooler design) and flyers that we have used in the past.
It'd also be great to have a larger logo that we could put on a banner (maybe more imagery or include the general BASES logo or text), and then off to the side a logo more focused on being natural sized, which is what we would generally use.
Good luck and thanks!
