Sophisticated Financial Services Firm Based in Hong Kong

We are a team of experienced investment professionals leaving a large financial services institution to create our own firm with backing from new investors. Specifically we operate in the pan-Asian private equity market (which includes India, Greater China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, and Australia).

Our industry is pretty conservative and non-risky. Our logo will be seen by US and European insitutional investors (i.e., people who give us money) and investee companies in places like China and India (i.e., people we give money to). It truly is a global audience and the design should be aware of this fact.

We are looking for a logo which we can use on business cards, stationary, promotional material, and as the banner of a website (to be created at a later time).

As mentioned above, our industry is rather conservative so we are looking for something which is not too radical, but can be new, fresh/modern, and somewhat cool. We prefer not to have anything too fancy or deemed as too classy. Since we are a start-up, it would be nice for our logo to stand out and for people to notice it.

Feel free to experiment with colors as we have no preset view on color scheme. But please keep in mind, it is for a corporate audience -- so colors like pink and purple are probably not appropriate . . .

Ideally, we would like three of versions of the logo:

1. One with just "NewQuest"
2. Another with "NewQuest Capital Partners" (although the word "NewQuest" can be bigger and/or more prominent.
3. Another which incorporates our Chinese name into the logo as well (again with the English being more prominent). The Chinese characters are included as an attachement to this brief.

Some logos of other similar global and regional firms are attached. Some are more inspiring than others. You can be the judge . . .

Please do not use any stock images or clip art in the logo.
