St. Louis College of Pharmacy Student Body
My name is Brian Ogweno, and I am the President of the St. Louis College of Pharmacy Student Council. The school is a 6 year all pharmacy school, and until recently has never really had a strong student voice. This past year, the Student Council has undergone a huge sea change in efforts of better catering to all student needs and creating a better sense of community. We just received student voting on faculty committees, which allows us to actually help shape campus wide policies. We have also merged with the Campus Activities Board in order to eliminate duplicate programming and improve the quality and timing of events. All in all, the organization is now able to better serve students as advocates with the administration, as well as programmers for quality, fun campus activities.
To try and convey our expanded roles on campus, we are also changing our name from the Student Council to something much more...grown up and reflective of what we can offer students. It will probably be along the lines of Student Body Union, or Student Body Association. We are hoping this re-branding will allow us to shed old stereotypes from our former days of inaction, and show people we are a bigger, better, stronger organization they can trust to always be there for them.

-The college is a 6 year doctoral pharmacy program with ~1200 students ranging from 18 years old to 24 years old.
- We also do a lot of collaboration with area businesses and restaurants for events.
Requirements are simple. We want something simple, clean, and professional. I would like it incorporate the following:
- Book- because we are students
-Scales- to represent our governance arm
- The attached logo- it used to be our old symbol and I would like a piece of our past to be included in our new logo. It also represents our chosen field of pharmacy.
- Anything that you think signifies programming and fun. All I could come up with was a carnival mask. If you have anything better, by all means go ahead and use it.
I had originally envisioned a coat of arms or office seal to fit everything in. I have attached an example of something that struck my eyes while searching the site. If some other form of presentation inspires you, by all means use it.
That's all I got...as Albert Camus once advised, "Create Dangerously!"
