TRIBE GAGA is a different social network with a product twist and a strong focus on art and design. We jumpstart face to face connections with passion, chewing gum, and a stick. We do it with gagaSTICKS. gagaSTICKS connect people.  You can find us at www.tribegaga.com. We exist to make the world a better place through sharing. We provide a tiny but powerful canvas to make that happen. gagaSTICKS are sleek magnetic strips with the look and feel of a stick of gum. Our members personalize one side of their gagaSTICKS with artwork chosen from a participating artist’s gagaSTICK portfolio.  This artwork reflects something that the gagaSTICK buyer is passionate about -- we say it "makes them gaga" -- such as comics, dancing, sports, pets, yoga, or simply beautiful art.  Our members personalize the other side of their gagaSTICKS with up to four lines of text and an invite code to the member's private profile on tribegaga.com. Just like gum, we wrap each gagaSTICK in foil, then bundle it with a real stick of gum in four delicious flavors.  We use the gum metaphor because, just like people, gum is made for sharing.  You can't pull out a piece of gum without offering to share it with someone, right?  Every box we sell contains 25 gagaSTICKS. When a gagaSTICK carrier gives someone a gagaSTICK, the sharing starts with gum but leads to so much more. The real sharing begins when the person who received the gagaSTICK unwraps it. That surprise leads to a face to face conversation about the gagaSTICK art and each other’s passions. That’s when people connect. We call that the gaga moment. In addition to serving our members who purchase gagaSTICKS, we serve our participating artists who create gagaSTICK art.  Registered artists can upload images on our site and create gagaSTICK designs based on their artwork.  Each artist’s work is showcased in a personal artist portfolio on the site.  As a gagaSTICK artist, you can showcase your art on the site and benefit from the additional exposure to new fans when a gagaSTICK buyer spreads your work to 25 other people in the real world.  gagaSTICK artists earn royalties too -- all while making the world a better place. TRIBE GAGA wants to create a new collection of gagaSTICK art related to music or inspired by music. We are looking to select a Featured Artist for this collection based on a contest-winning group of three music-related images by the artist.  Keep in mind that gagaSTICK Artists create art that gagaSTICK carriers use to express and share their passions. When it comes to the category of music, some people will have a passion for Madonna, or The Beatles, or The Foo Fighters. Others may have a passion for a particular style of music such as hip hop or rock. Others may have a passion for a particular instrument like a guitar or saxophone. Others may love to write or just listen to music and something like that might be represented by notes on a canvas, a figure with headphones, someone dancing, or a dj spinning records. These are just examples.  We do not want to restrict your creativity in any way. 1. Each artist submission consists of three designs in the same gagaSTICK orientation (either three horizontal images or three vertical images). Each group of three images is considered one submission. Artists may enter multiple submissions of 3-stick groups. 2. Each image size is 870 x 270 (or 270 x 870) pixels. 3. See attachment for gagaSTICK design tips. 4. The contest winner must agree to submit the winning entries to tribegaga.com and to be promoted on tribegaga.com as a Featured Artist.  The contest winner will continue to earn royalties on any gagaSTICKS that are sold and personalized with the winning entries, just like any other artist who signs up to use the site.  See attachment or visit www.tribegaga.com/browse for examples of how our Featured Artists and their artwork are displayed on the site.

We welcome the creation of new artwork for these submissions but artists are free to use any existing work they have full rights to as long as it is cropped to the gagaSTICK format. To preview an existing work in gagaSTICK format, artists may use our online upload, zoom, and crop tool at www.tribegaga.com/createstick.  Please note that artists who want to use our online tool will need to signup for a free account on the site first.
