I would like a company portfolio designed. We need to create a booklet which includes a cover page, a few pages on company profile and operations (we will provide the text for this part), and multiple sections throughout covering all the projects we've worked on ranging from Residential (homes and apartment buildings), Commercial (malls, retail developments, restaurants), Mixed-Use (multi-purpose institutions or developments), Urban Planning (city design, urbanism, landscaping), etc... Each section should have room for photographs and renderings, along with text boxes we can fill with descriptions of the project including construction cost, dates, and blurbs describing the projects goals and how we achieved them. We can provide photographs, and would also like to have a template that we can add to as time goes on and we complete more projects. Coordination between ourselves and our designer will be required to finish out the portfolio, but we expect for some pages to be left empty with template locations for new photos and text blurbs that maybe aren't fully clear yet or we need to figure out after the competition on this website has ended. The goal will eventually be to print it out in book form, possibly with a hard cover. Generally we did two page spreads for each project, however depending on design this could be reduced should the designer feel individual pages for each project is more appealing or beautiful. Our logo is attached below, as you can see it has a black and white motif - this is not to say you have to stick to our colors but the colors should be reflected wherever the logo is going in order to maintain our brand 'look and feel' across the entire book. We also need a page focused on contact information either at the beginning or the end of the book (whichever you see fit), along with a bio page in which we can put pictures of our senior staff and their levels of experience (with photos of their faces, or them at work). We're comfortable using Adobe Illustrator and InDesign, but feel that InDesign would be more appropriate especially for those template pages which we can keep adding onto and expanding on with more of our projects as we grow. You are free to use whatever program you like so long as we can add more pages in the future.
The purpose of the portfolio is to share with potential clients and developers in order to convince them we are a professional and highly design focused team interested in responsible design and who care about the image we let out. The more creative and beautiful, the better. There needs to be a logic to the way the content is organised however to make it clear which section you're in (be that Residential or Commercial, etc...) as you're flipping through the pages. Not all the images need to be of buildings - could be other things architecture related such as construction images, or infographics describing our design process and our delivery methodology. All of this can be described in detail once we select a designer to work with.
