We specialize in offering high-end, custom remote control products (very slick!) which go into the cabin of very expensive private jet aircraft. Some are corporate and some are private jets of wealthy individuals. We are a very small company but very responsive. Customer SAT is job #1 for us. We painstakingly design these remotes to be intuitive to use, colorful but not gaudy and of course to work perfectly. A lot of time and effort goes into the technical aspects as well as the graphics and design. We typically sell our product direct to the end customer but we get most of our business through the aviation outfitters and maintenance companies who manage these planes. An owner may have multiple remotes in the cabin at many of the seats. Points we want to convey: Quality, Knowledge and Experience (10+ years). Understanding of their current remote systems. Cabin Control Specialists. In most cases they are upgrading older remotes and we usually know how they work, etc. Quick turnaround - less than 2 weeks to deliver systems. Main Points: We do this better than anyone else in this business and we will do so at an attractive price. We sell a few brands of these remotes (multiple models) & we have to create a custom design and layout and the functionality for the entertainment options that might be on a jet. This is a new specialty niche market for us. 2 main audiences - plane owner & the jet maintenance company who services and manages the aircraft. The owner and the key person at the maintenance company have worked together for many years. They know each other very well and have a strong relationship. We also want to develop a strong relationship with both of them. The maintenance company will likely contact us once the jet owner hears of us through them. We also need to work with the maintenance company to assist with the testing and installation. Although we don't have to be present. We offer the service "virtually" which saves the client time and money. See this aspect on our web page. This is a big differentiator for us and an exclusive service no one else offers. Our approach is similar to what we have done in other markets for 10+ years but I don't want to reference the other markets we serve/have served, it will be a distraction. So with this identity we are making appear this is all we do. Most of these clients are wealthy individuals, they like their toys and cost is not a significant issue. These jet owners and the maintenance companies are a bit of an old boy network. They embrace technology but sometimes don't want too much change. The audience is typically older professionals, male, successful, execs.
I am likely sending the brochure to Overnight Prints. I think they still use offset printing. They want full bleed and maybe it is CYMK?? But here is a link maybe you can determine what they will want.
I want trifold. They offer "letter fold" and "Z fold". If you think one is better than the other than go that way. Just tell me so I know what to order.
So based upon the main audience members, I think our overall design should be classy, alive, not too crazy. Not too stale looking either. I would like some of the remotes (pieces/portions) to be visible in the brochure but it is NOT a product brochure. It is more about the solution; the product, our services, our design and programming to make it work in their cabin. So, use elements or portions of the better remote pictures and fit those in creatively. Do include some shots of jet aircraft theme and maybe business people shaking hands or people on a plane having fun, that sort of thing but you be the judge.
