Elizabeth & Bob
Hello. Elizabeth and I are getting married in late May in Madison, WI. Elizabeth works as an occupational therapist in a school system and has a cat. I am a system administrator for a Big Ten university and I have computers. We're sort of outdoorsy, enjoy autumn and hiking and being outside in the spring, summer, and fall. We've known each other for two years, and I proposed by a small waterfall along the Appalachian Trail in Shenandoah National Park last summer. Our wedding is going to be a pretty informal affair, Elizabeth in a traditional wedding dress while I will be in a new black suit. The whole thing will be a big party, with an awesome cover band (The Hometown Sweethearts), a buffet with pot roast, chicken, and vegetarian lasagna, beer & wine & soda, and a friend as the officiant (who will hopefully have a chance to marry us by the end of the night!). We like the colors orange and red for the wedding, though my favorite color is blue (no, really, I'm cool with orange and red!).
We have a simple wedding web site at: http://wedding.plankers.com/
Photos from our Shenandoah trip of us are at: http://photos.plankers.com/EventsTr…-Carolina/ and there are some of us scattered throughout (page 6 has some of my favorites).
The place we are getting married is:

The target audience are those invited to our wedding!
We'd like the invitation to be styled as a vintage travel poster. Elizabeth has always had the idea of an 8.5x11 vintage poster for the invitation. One of the attached files, "Wedding Magazine," is what inspired it, with the "Chris & Allison" one. The other image is another we liked.
It needs to be able to be printed on 8.5x11" paper. I intend to print it on a dye-sublimation printer and fold it into quarter-size envelopes.
It needs to contain our names, Elizabeth Vermedahl and Bob Plankers, though is is fine to use just our first names. Parents are David & Lisa Vermedahl, and David & Lynn Plankers. David Plankers is dead, to be honest I don't really know what protocol is on that...
It needs to contain the date of the wedding, May 28, 2011, in some obvious form, along with the time, 4:00 PM, and location and address, Lussier Family Heritage Center, 3101 Lake Farm Road, Madison, WI.
It would be cool if the invitation said something about dinner being buffet-style, with meat and vegetarian options. It would also be cool if it mentioned The Hometown Sweethearts.
It needs to state that RSVPing can be done via our web site, wedding.plankers.com, email to ervermedahl@hotmail.com, or by calling Bob at 608-219-0590.
I have a licensed copy of Adobe Design Premium CS5 so I am able to take any compatible format as the final product.
Please HAVE FUN WITH IT. We are very open-minded!
