We are a sports nutrition company that are going to be wholesaling our sports products such as whey proteins to Creatine.

We need a new look for our Australian owned sports range, we need something that is up to date with the current market. The initial design is for a product called BOTH WHEYS. It is a product that has been around for a while but needs a face lift and a tougher look and inline with the american style products. The label will be used on 3 different sized containers but most importantly its going on a round bucket which we need the label for more than the other two sizes atm. We want a complete wrap around label. The brand sells different types of products, including specific chemical products (as creatine monohydrate, L-Glutamine, L-carnitine, etc), products formulations (as Pre-workout, intra-workout, post-workout, whey protein, whey protein formulas, micellar casein protein formulas. The market that the products are going to be oriented are: Bodybuilding, general sports people, male and female We need the designers to consider that even though all of these products are different the look and feel of the packaging needs to be consistent throughout the whole line of products in order to maintain consistency of the brand in peoples mind, and make it easily recognizable Consider that as it is standard in this industry, all front of the product labels will include lots of information as applies for each product, eg: Promotion of the brand name, product name, flavor when applicable (may be identified with words and color associated), one or more nutritional or health claims of the product (promotes strength, help looses weight, hydrates, enhances recovery, enhances endurance, etc) , Dietary supplement, net weight, number of servings, delivery method (pills, vcaps, powder), main nutritional value per serving (25 gr protein, zero calories, zero fat, 10 gr BCAA, etc), moment to use related to exercise (before,during after, meal replacement, snack,etc),Value points (No artificial colors, flavors, preservatives, zero sugar,gluten free, or other as corresponds, etc) Also, the back of the label must hold other lot of information as : TGA statement, warnings, cautions, allergens, nutritional label as per TGA, other ingredients, suggested use, UPC code, QR code, distributor information by parent company Goliaths Nutrition Note that most of these products will be sent to participate in flavor, design, functionality and other industry competitions that will bring recognition and exposure to the brand and to the companies involved in the fabrication, design, distribution and general commercialization. There are plenty of competitors, products, labels and designs of multinational companies in this industry that the designers can use as references for the info they contain, as well as for the label structure, and to evaluate in how to be creative and make it better than all of them...... Some Suggestions 1. Blue background label same kind of color as the Propeptide bag with maybe a checked plating effect like the one is the last photo and that in the emonster. Have a play with it and see what you can come up with. We need a harder look. just something that makes it look busier. The bucket that the label is going on is white with a blue lid. 2. We want to keep a similar design for the "both whey's" logo part but the type of font will need to be updated. Ive attached some other designs with fonts which i think look quite effective, keep the arrows but as i said see what you can come up with as far as really making this stand out from the rest. 3. We want space on the side label for information about the ingredients such as wpi or wpc and micellar casein. 4. I have attached some popular American brands, this is the type of look we are going for. 5. Please be creative, change what you think needs to be changed, make it stand out!
The winner of this design will be the designer who we will get to design the rest of the range, so there will be more work ahead.
