diyAudio - projects by fanatics, for fanatics!
We are one of the webs largest audio forums, and specialize in discussion of audio electronics, circuit design, and the construction of all things audio (big and crazy amplifiers, outlandish speakers, and everything in between.
We've just celebrated our 10th anniversary and will hit 2,000,000 posts within the next month or two. So lets celebrate with a great tshirt with the theme "10 year burn in". Blending fire and electronics should make for a cool shirt!
Our forum members are males predominantly in the 30-50 year old range. The love audio! They'd like a tshirt that makes them feel proud to be fanatical about their hobby.
THEME: "10 Year Burn In"
SUB THEMES: Fire, burning amplifiers, audio circuits and design, audio electronics, speakers, amplifiers, global discussion
BACK TEXT (or possibly front): "10 Year Burn In"
FRONT: diyAudio logo, perhaps on the "pocket"
PRINT PROCESS: It will be professionally screen printed, so I would imagine 3 colors would be a good max number of colors and the minimum size of some elements may have to be taken into consideration (I'm not sure what the normal limitations are for screen printing).
TSHIRT COLOR: Black
The back of the shirt should say “10 Year Burn In”, and this should set the theme for the tshirt. This has multiple meanings. Firstly, the forum has been going for 10 years. Secondly, “burn in” is something you do to new electronics and speakers to make them sound better. Thirdly, once a year there is a “sister” audio event held in San Francisco called “Burning Amp” which while not directly related to the diyAudio forum, is organized by the some of the same people. Fourthly, there are a lot of flame wars on the website!
IDEAS: I think you could probably do a lot of cool stuff with circuit traces (http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-ph…ard-02.php) but you guys are the designers so come up with something fresh!
