We have created the first ever ‘human’, online shopping experience. Our users are greeted by a human shop assistant and can chat with them via text, video and audio messages (or live video). The human assistant can select products and send them directly to the users screen. Managing many users at the same time, the assistant has the ability to tailor the shopping experience. *** USERS *** - Be immediately and personally connected to a human shop assistant - Search for products via video, audio or text - Personal shopping assistance (products straight into basket) - Livechat throughout the experience *** SHOPS *** - Personalize experience of users in a revolutionary manner, by choosing products and categories to display to each user - Send users directly to product display pages - Immediate analytics - Personal engagement with every visitor
The website is a tool that can be used by many different brands, and many types of products. Colors should be simple to give emphasis to the brand and logo that is customizing the website, and the design should be as neutral as possible. The style should be clean and modern, with the emphasis on the core features which are: -> Video chat throughout the experience -> Messaging throughout the experience -> Clean, modern, easy to navigate interface. The video / text / audio chat should be embedded into the page, so imagine you were in a Google Hangout call, or a Zoom call, you should be "connected" to the assistant at all time (while also browsing the site), So the feel should almost be like a video call inside a shop. The second part is the navigation will be via video and audio chat, we need to focus on having one single layout with communication options alongside product displays, so it feels like a real conversation "within" a shop! For the assistant it will be a case of managing multiple connections at the same time, whereas the User focus should be around the communication channel and product media (images / videos)

User journey: User X visits their favourite shoe shop, they are greeted by Assistant Y with a pre-recorded video / audio message. User X then sends a video / audio message (like a whatsapp). "I'm looking for brown shoes". Assistant Y recieves the message, and sends them directly to a product page to buy the brown shoes. using the interface. User X has some doubts about the shoe size, so videocalls Assistant Y (from the same page). Assistant Y answers the video call, and selects the correct size of shoe for User X. User X buys the shoes. *** PAGE 1 *** A customer experience. When the customer loads the shop front they should be presented with a webpage that contains all the products of the shop (imagine 32 products for first draft). These products should include all the usual metadata such as prices, categories etc... Apart from the products, it must also be clear that they are connected to a shop assistant, not via a widget, but their actual content is controlled and managed by a human person, including recommended products. Therefore the user must be presented with VideoChat / AudioChat / TextChat within the same layout and perfectly integrated into the display. The video / text / audio chat should be embedded into the page, so imagine you were in a Google Hangout call, or a Zoom call, you should be "connected" to the assistant at all time (while also browsing the site), So the feel should almost be like a video call inside a shop. This website *** ONLY *** works when there is a human assistant connected at the other end, imagine a live video call except it is a live shopping experience. Therefore this communication must be an important and persistant part of the display, and should be integrated in such a way that navigating the site (e.g. to see a product), the communication aspect remains the same. This is a SPA, and the content should be integrated with the communication channel, so that the experience is clearly being controlled and guided by human. This is a 'human' shopping experience tool that can used by owners of many different types of brands / products. *** PAGE 2 *** An assistants experience. When a new user connects to the online shop, they will automatically be connected to a "Shop Assistant". This shop assistant will have the ability to: * VideoChat * TextChat * AudioChat * View recent history of visitor (pages / products visited). * Select products or a single product for the user to view * Add products to the cart of the user * Manage up to 30 users simultaneously (layout should be easy to use for many people) So for the assistant page, we need a layout where they can "manage" all the users on the shopfloor, send them products & messages and manage communications with many different people at the same time.
This is a really new concept of "online shopping" so it is likely to need some creative ideas. The really important part is the concept that users and assistants are CONNECTED all the way through the experience, so this isn't a static "website", more of an application that is driven by human beings. Apart from the communication aspect, it needs to be clear that it is an online shop, so conversion and product images also need to stand out. Please bear in mind this project is "mobile first", so please think about the interface from a mobile perspective. All features and communications must be possible on mobile, and the winning design will show a clear and attractive layout for mobile users.
