GetHealthyHarlem.org (GHH)
Woven is a web development shop focused on building top notch online community websites for progressive organizations. Our long-time client, the Harlem Health Promotion Center, advocates for better health in Harlem. We built and manage their flagship website, GetHealthyHarlem.org.
GetHealthyHarlem.org is a health information website where Harlem residents, families, businesses and organizations can find and contribute local information about getting and staying healthy. It's also a place for sharing and connecting with community members.
The site's audience is comprised of people, young and old, who are residents of Harlem and greater New York City. These are individuals, business owners, community organizations, students and anyone with an interest in a healthier Harlem. The site is primarily visited by folks looking for local health information, but also by businesses and organizations who wish to contribute their own information and make it available to the community.
The site is a full online community, in which staff editors post specially-marked content alongside contributions from the community. Users can post articles, events, journal (blog) entries, places and more.
We're looking for an exemplary design that will win awards! :) We want to work with passionate, creative, skilled designers who get online community designs and can produce a design that we'll all be proud of and that will serve us well into the future. We'll want to work with winning designers in the future as well. Only top notch user experience designers need apply!
