Teclo Networks develops and sells software to telecom operators globally.
Our first product enables operators to see real time mobile broadband network performance on a map of their country. It looks a bit like the maps and graphs in SimCity, but _of course_ much more sophisticated ;).
Data is presented per subscriber, per kind of mobile phone, and per kind of network usage (web surfing responsiveness/ whether videos are downloading fast enough to play without stuttering, etc.)
Operators can then see where they need to concentrate investment, whether they are delivering the performance subscribers have paid for, and perhaps if there are opportunities for them to sell more mobile broadband.
We install our software on standard multicore servers and keep up with the traffic going through the largest network backbones, 10's of Gigabits per second.
We're international: one Australian/Swede living in Switzerland, one German, one Romanian/Italian, two Englishmen, one Dutchman who has spent years in Nepal, and one American/Swede. That's it, so far. We ARE new.
The group pulls together world class Lisp programmers, 35 years of telecom experience, and a solid background (six real successes so far) in building high tech companies from scratch.
We're in this for the adrenaline rushed fun of building a company together, and we're having a great time.
