We have have partnered up with 11 of London's largest cardrooms and casinos to build a calendar of over 100 poker events running throughout September. Alongside grassroots poker tournaments that will suit all budgets, we have some of the largest poker events in Europe, with total prize money around £12m. We are also putting on nightclub parties hosted by famous poker players, charity poker tournaments, poker tuition lectures, an award ceremony, a charity strip poker championship held at Stringfellows (the most famous strip club in London), possibly a music concert and also Poker in the Park (http://www.pokerinthepark.com), a two day poker festival in Leicester Square which attracted 20,000 people in 2009.
The London Poker Festival unites all these events, allowing everyone to see times, dates and locations in order to plan which ones they will attend.
Poker players, over 18, mainly male
This is the London Poker Festival's first year so the website needs to introduce visitors to the concept of the festival and allow them to see details of all the different events.
The website needs to have:
*Short amount of text, introducing the London Poker Festival and explaining what it's all about. (this is its first year)
*Email and social media (Facebook, Twitter) data capture
*Feed of the calendar (using Trumba)
*Small amount of text above the calendar explaining how to use it - e.g. you can export selected events into your Outlook calendar
*Results section
*Twitter feed box
*Footer that will include logos of all the participating companies and media partners
*A Google map with the different casinos plotted
We have mocked up a version at http://188.220.44.179/PokerFestival/Default.aspx. It's very rough and using random feeds, but it should help you to get a sense of the type of information needed. (The feed below the news letterbox isn't necessary.)
