The project is to redesign 2 primary pages of the site with a fresh look and feel that gets across the feelings and messages we want people to have when they arrive at the site for the first time. With these two pages redesigned, I'll be able to carry that theme through the rest of the site after this project's completion.
The two pages are
1. The Homepage - http://www.zolve.com
2. They standard city page - an example is http://zolve.com/colorado-springs-c…eal-estate
So looking at the city page, here are some things that could be better:
1. better looking "street sign" at top.
2. better looking header area in general.
3. better looking sidebar boxes
4. better looking color plan / font plan?
The challenge is that we are providing a lot of information but it is important to me that the site does not feel cluttered or stale. It needs to come across as fun and professional and not too... how do I put it too "over-the-top web 2.0ish" if that makes sense. How do we incorporate the best of web 2.0 design styles without going to far and the site feeling "punchy" or "lightweight"? I need someone who can do that.
Take poetic license because your creative genius is what I am hiring. If this means we need to change our color scheme - show me why! I need the site to look less "Wikipedia" and more friendly, accessible and fun.
Before you start, I need take a look at the site and attached PPT.
Delivery preference is high resolution images that are a lossless graphic and we can re-size, etc. without getting artifacts.
