Keeples is a new kind of search engine that finds specific people to answer your questions.
This question-referral system is an important distinguishing factor: Keeples is not a typical Q&A site; it's a people search. The client would like the website design to clearly communicate this unique aspect of Keeples.
This project is about creating a new redesign for the website. The first attempt at the website (at keeples.com) did not clearly convey the value of Keeples as it looks likes a generic Q&A website.
IMPORTANT to consider the Ratings System:
0 star - not really what I'm looking for.
1 star - getting closer but need revisions or a different take on your design
2 star - design is being considered but need more feedback from us
3 star - Customer is watching you
4 star - I really like the design and will be presented to our customer
5 star - Customer really like the design and will make the final selections from these

The target audience for Keeples is any curious person. Specifically, Keeples aims to target people who are seeking human answers to their questions, people who want to access information that is not readily available on the web (eg. what's the best place to park near bar x on Saturday nights?). The goal of Keeples is to encourage people to ask for highly specific information, and to actually get answers for it.
About 30-40% of Keeples traffic will come directly from search engine hits, where a search query will happen to match one of Keeples' pre-exisiting questions. The user will then be taken directly to the question page. For example, if you go to Google and type "remove before wearing tags", Keeples will be the first result, because we happen to have a question relating to clothes. The user will then click on the Google link and be taken directly to Keeple's question page containing the clothes question. Note that the user's first exposure to Keeples will often be the question page, not the homepage. Thus, the question page is actually more powerful than the homepage, in terms of communicating Keeples' value.
We are looking for a total overhaul of the current Keeples website design. See complete brief attached for details.
The Question page:
- When a user visits the question page, he should immediately realize that Keeples is very different from a typical Q&A website. Users should understand that Keeples is a people search that finds specific people to answer your questions.

- There should be an email address: email@example.com, along with "In a hurry? Just email your question to firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll send back expert answers."
- A box that just says "Are you the World's Most Intelligent Person?" (It will eventually be a link to a list of Keeple's top contributors for that week.)
- One idea for placing the Most-Intelligent-Person (MIP) link and the ask@keeples is to place them side by side at that bottom of the page.
The Main page:
- Again the main page should convey a value that is unique and different from answers.yahoo.com or answerbag.com. Ideally it should look more like search engine than a Q&A website. The client likes the idea of using a diagram or some kind of a use case to illustrate what Keeples does. (See the "Keeples front page.jpg" for an example use case). However, if you can think of a better way to show Keeples' concept, the client is very open to other ideas.
- When the user visits the main page, he should immediately understand that Keeples will find specific people to answer his question.
- Our client likes simple main pages.
- The Keeples Logo (attached, and again, feel free to change the color)
- A box to ask questions.
- An explanation of what Keeples is good for. (See attached mock ups for a rough idea)
- A most-intelligent-person (MIP) link as described in the question page.
