The overarching idea is conversions. Quality design is the key differentiator for us from the competition.
I will be using Twitter Bootstrap for the front-end development. If you are not familiar, check it out here: http://twitter.github.com/bootstrap
What I'd like to see:
I'd like to see a thoughtful, up-to-date UX and graphic design.
Must cater to people who may not have the greatest eyesight. Translation: don't use tiny fonts anywhere, except areas that should be downplayed such as navigation links.
Call-to-action must stand out!
Large, clear, and prominent call to action.
Large call to action buttons which contrast well from background.
Form "Steps" breadcrumbs, graphical, ie. 1. Tell us about your project. > 2. How can we reach you? > 3. Our professionals will contact you.
Bulleted list somewhere which could hold 5 sentences.
As much as possible, key elements of the form and buttons should be above the fold. Let me rephrase that, I want more form :)
Build trust and confidence with visitors, then draw the user to and through the process of completing each section of the form without distraction.
Should have some type of 'hero' image. I'm open to variations of using a large image or a small image. Photo should be of an American (U.S.) family and/or American home highlighting home windows. I have provided photo comps.
Blue is good, it's a 'safe' color, and appeals to everyone.
