An artists' café in the 21st century: Instead of meeting in a bar, the three artists Damian, Natascha and Johannes meet via video call to talk about their work. (Just like Hemingway and his friends did in restaurants in Paris in the 1920s.) Damian is working on his first novel in Geneva, while Natascha is painting in Berlin and Johannes is writing a new book of poetry. The daily running camera provides unwanted glimpses into their lives, and Natascha's kitchen in particular becomes the stage for private scenes. One day, they want to meet each other in person and spend a few days together at an international art fair in Basel. But can their friendship work without the comfortable distance via the screen?
