There are several design choices within this concept to accommodate these issues.
To maximize it's visibility on the sun, I decided for a high contrast design - mostly black and white with a few bright colored elements. Also, all of the elements use a clean and very legible sans-serif font and simple shapes.
Simple and crisp design also works well with the \"Swiss\" ideology.
Another issue is that some features will be used during the movement and so they need to be easily recognizable.
This is also important for the safety reasons. Having a cluttered and UI-heavy screen would take longer to read the information and so the user would spend more time with his eyes on the screen instead of the road ahead - increasing the risk of an accident.
